Diplômée de l’école supérieure d’art de Mulhouse – Le Quai ( aujourd’hui Haute École des Arts du Rhin ) dans le département design textile et surface , j’ai obtenu mon DNSEP avec félicitations, en 2009.
Depuis 12 ans, j’exerce mon métier de designer textile tout en développant des démarches transversales.
À travers une approche multiple, mes réalisations questionnent ce qui détermine l’individu et l’environnement dans lequel il s’inscrit, en manipulant les ambiguïtés, les paradoxes, les matières et les formes. Je m’interroge également sur l’histoire des motifs. Mes voyages confèrent à mes compostions, une vision venue d’ailleurs. Dès ma 4 ème année d’études, j’ai souhaité voyager pour m’imprégner d’une autre culture. Je suis partie 2 mois au Maroc. J’ai ainsi étudié les motifs traditionnels arabes et étudié de prêt les motifs berbères. J’ai alors développé un travail graphique mêlant des motifs d’inspiration orientale avec d’autres familles de motif plus occidentaux.
Ce que j’ai appelé par la suite, les « cachés / révélés » ont été des variations expérimentales. Ils se retrouvent sur trois carrés de soies. Trois commanditaires, un pour la ville de Mulhouse, un autre pour le Musée de l’impression sur étoffes et le dernier, pour l’Iut de Bordeaux. Je livre une forme d’interprétation, évidemment féminine, de notre rapport au foulard et au monde à travers une lecture particulière des mentalités, mythologies et iconographies de notre société.
Quelques années plus tard, j’effectue un déplacement de trois mois aux États- Unis, ce qui me permet de développer un travail autour de la notion de société de consommation, d’identité.
Dans la même période, je trouve un nouvel atelier dans la friche industrielle DMC, à Motoco.
Quelques années plus tard, je crée ma propre marque de vêtements et d’accessoires « Eugénie design ». Ce qui me permet de mettre en lumière l’expérience acquise durant ces 10 dernières années tant dans le domaine de la création artistique que dans le design textile et surface. Ma volonté d’entreprenariat fait partie de mes connaissances et mes acquis lors de mes années d’études.
Actuellement, je collabore avec Marie-Paule Bilger artiste plasticienne, Jean- Baptiste Friquet ainsi que son frère, Pierre Friquet, tous les deux artistes « numériques ».
Notre travail s’articule autour de la botanique. Nos recherches portent sur les fleurs se trouvant autour du site DMC, à la musique des plantes et toute la dimension liée au vivant pour développer un travail en réalité virtuelle et en réalité augmentée.
Le passé de la ville de Mulhouse, les plantes rudérales, les adventices, celles qui envahissent et surgissent des ruines sont le point d’encrage pour notre projet.
Visual artist graduated in design with honors from the Graduate School of Arts of Mulhouse (Eastern France) “Le Quai” (known today as Higher Institute of Arts of the Rhine) in 2009.
Searching for new confrontations between objects, images, materials and space, my work is focused on a constant questioning of what makes an individual, and the environment within which the individual is evolving, by using ambiguity and paradox.
2008: driven by my wish for encountering new horizons leads me to Morocco. By travelling all over the country, going from studio to studio, city to city, landscape to landscape, people to people, etc., I come up with a series of patterns mixing typical Moroccan culture and its European aspects, and then create a collection of scarves. The union between this very visible accessory nowadays commonplace and the hair material that I have already been working with for years becomes evidence and I start refining my approach by pursuing my search for a relation between the common and the exceptional as well as various other shifts in meaning.

2009: I win the Mulhouse City Contest thanks to the creation of a silk scarf in the composition of which I used a strand of hair, followed by the creation of a second silk scarf, declined in two colors, acquired by the Museum of Printing on Fabric.
Meanwhile, I grow varied and multiple experiences as a visual artist. Successively, I am a lecturer and host at the Museum of Printing on Fabric, coordinator of the third, fourth and fifth Years of Textile Design at the “Le Quai” Graduate School of Arts (2009/2010), mediator at La Kunsthalle Contemporary Center of Arts, and plastic intervener at the Plastic Arts Pedagogical Workshops of la Fonderie, Education department, etc.
2010: I am recognized for a project launched by the city of Mulhouse on the occasion of a festival organized for the arrival of the TGV. The installation that I propose is called:
“ Montrer la voie ” (play on words meaning “showing the way/rail”)
2012: I go to Geneva and New York for two collective displays and participate in a project for a show while living among an artist community.
2013: I become a resident and member of the Motoco association (laboratory of social design created in the old DMC factory buildings), which constitutes a new creative and relational turning point for me.
Then, I go to Bordeaux for a presentation conference dedicated to my work and, immediately afterwards, start creating a new silk scarf for a project held by the IUT (university technical institute) of Bordeaux 4. At the end of my second trip to Bordeaux, I present an exhibition.
2014: I go to New York again and stay a resident for 3 months.
